Event Time

Event Location
Ramsey Swimming Pool
Event Description

Escape into the elements on the beautiful, wild and slow moving Sulby river.
We jump into our very stable, glass-bottom sit-on-top kayaks and travel up into the wilds of this nature reserve.
We often see the beautiful Little Egret, Herons, Little Grebe’s, Barnacle and Canada geese and sometimes the elusive kingfisher.
Come and join us for a relaxing float as we then make our way through the reeds and trees and explore this hidden stretch of river.
We will stop for spot of light foraging and maybe try some tri-cornered leek, wild spinach and wild ramsons.
The Sulby river is the longest river on the Island and offers a sheltered and easy paddle for beginners in double or single kayaks. We never expect to get wet and launch with our feet dry.
We do have warm salopettes trousers if you would like to borrow them.
We meet at outside the front of Ramsey swimming pool.
