Event Description

Escape into the beautiful, wild and slow moving Sulby river on this nature adventure.
With our warm salopette trousers on, we jump into our very stable glass-bottom sit-on-top kayaks and travel up into the wilds of this nature reserve.
We often see the beautiful Little Egret, Herons, Little Grebe’s, Barnacle and Canada geese and sometimes the elusive kingfisher.
Come and join us for a relaxing float as we then make our way through the reeds and trees and explore this hidden stretch of river.
We will stop for tri-corned leek, wild spinach and garlic.
The Sulby river is the longest river on the Island and offers a sheltered and easy paddle for beginners in double or single kayaks. We never expect to get wet and launch with our feet dry.
Please bring hats, gloves or coats if you need them. We do have warm salopettes trousers if you would like them.
We meet at the White Bridge Car Park, which is a turning just outside Ramsey on the Jurby Road, called Gardeners Lane and marked Nature Reserve. Below is the link for Google Maps.
