Day 1

Relax, weve got you.

We meet up around 10am, meet your tribe and practise some Chi Gong and the art of breath control outside by the trees and river and spend a little time relaxing in beautiful natural surroundings.  We will walk and forage for some foods and then stop to make a fire, some drinks and lunch with our foraged food and experience the wonderful outdoor life.

After lunch we go to the nearby estuary and bay.  Here well learn the art of stand up paddleboarding (SUP) in a relaxed environment on our stable giant 6-8 person craft and try out single paddlesboards if you like.  The water is well known for its restorative properties, helping to bring ourselves back into balance.  Our session will be rounded off with sitting, essential oils and relaxing teas.

We head to your home,  a converted 500 year old Mill.  You will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of your own woods, river and waterfall and when the fire is lit (inside or out), nowhere has a greater sense of hygge.

Our venue has everything you need to make your nature retreat just perfect:

– luxury bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and direct access outside

– beautiful communal spaces for group experiences

– communal seating around a fire at night time for relaxing, music and star gazing

– picturesque lawn and gardens

Before evening dinner together, there is the option for a wild swim in our own waterfall a short 5 minute walk on site.

After our delicious food, local musician and storyteller will welcome you to the Isle of Man with mythical tales and tunes around the campfire.

Day 2

We will experience a Cold Water Therapy Session.  We start by practising some deep active breathing and relaxation to prepare us for our cold water experience. We will then walk to the magic pool in the Fairy Glen.

We will head back to the Old Mill and get warm with our famous breakfasts.

We will catch the 140 year old train to Port St Mary in the south of the island where we begin our day’s walk.

The day’s walk will involve spectacular sea views, great walking and fascinating history and geology. This part of the island is full of wildlife and beauty at its peaceful best. We will hike out to a remote sea stack and watch the choughs and seabirds flying out over these dramatic 100m sea cliffs and admire the views across the Isle of Man.

As we head toward the renowned Sound cafe, this is a great place to spot dolphins on a calm day, as well as enjoying the dramatic views of the distant Calf of Man. On the way, we pass the ancient stone circles and hear tales of faeries and folklore. We will have our lunch before connecting and catching our steam train home.  Walk details: 10km/ 6.5 miles | approx. 4 hrs | 290m ascent.

We head back to Mill house we take time to relax before dinner.

Day 3

Outside on the lawn, by the trees and river we do some gentle exercise/Chi Gong and carry on learning the art of breath control before breakfast.

Mid morning, we will travel to secret beaches, exploring the hidden bays in our very stable glass bottomed kayaks in one of Britain’s richest wildlife destinations. Its spectacular hills and coastline are home to some iconic wildlife, including porpoises, dolphins, seals and basking sharks.

Full instructions will be given and safety equipment provided before setting out in our kayaks. Well explore the hidden beaches and caves that skirt the coastline.

The area provides a valuable staging for many species of wildlife, so keep your eyes peeled for the inquisitive locals above and all the life you can see  in our unique kayaks that allow you to see below the water. Look out for waders on the shoreline such as the ringed plover and turnstone and listen for the Skylarks melody overhead.

We take an optional trip up to the top of the headline to admire the views over the Island and beyond to Ireland.

We enjoy one last chance for a wild swim together and spend a little time relaxing in the wilds of the Isle of Man one final time.  There is an option for a wild sauna.  We will make drinks with foraged leaves and flowers as you say goodbye to your new friends.

We expect to wrap up at around 16.00 ready for onward travel.
